Experienced sales and business development executive, leading Storco New Zealand. Specialising in design and construction projects from brownfield to greenfield sites, with sound knowledge of the self storage and construction sectors, having honed his skills for over 15 years in these areas. He is passionate and dedicated to a successful project outcome, delivered with integrity and to the best possible standard.

Jonathan Layton

Jonathan directs Storco’s operations, having over 20 years of experience working within the self storage and manufacturing industry. He has contributed to Storco’s success by identifying new market trends and promoting new product development in order to ensure our customers receive the best products on the market.

His expertise in business, product development, and client engagement allow Storco to develop and manufacture products that offer long-term return on investment.

Mark Layton

Mark leads Storco’s business development team. His practical experience across every aspect of Storco’s operations, including manufacturing, estimation, business development, and project delivery, provides him with a unique perspective on the business.

Mark is recognised by Storco’s clients as an invaluable partner in the manufacture and installation of self storage fit outs. He has overseen the delivery of countless projects across Australia and New Zealand and is always focused on ensuring Storco products are manufactured precisely to specifications and installed on time, safely, and cost-effectively.

Business Administration Manager

Nicole Mackenzie

With over 20 years experience working in the manufacturing and mining industries, Nicole brings a priceless skillset to the Storco team. Beginning her career in the steel industry and holding various roles from contract management, purchasing manager, manufacturing manager and now to her current role of business administration manager, she has a thorough understanding of all areas of our business.

Estimation Supervisor

Osman Medina

Osman is a broadly skilled structural engineer and estimator with over 20 years’ experience in delivering value to civil and structural construction companies, consultancy firms and estimating BoQ for residential and commercial buildings. Dedicated and results-driven with a proven history of utilising strong analytical skills, thorough attention to detail and utilisation of his strong work ethic.

He has a long track record of success throughout his career in developing and implementing best practice systems, processes, and tools which drive measurable improvement in capital cost estimating, operating cost estimating, forecasting, bid success rates and operational efficiency.

Project Manager

Regan Layton

A results-driven and motivated project manager with many years of experience in the manufacturing and self storage industry. His acquired knowledge provides our customers with the added benefit of a thorough understanding of our design, and manufacturing process and right through to the installation of our products on site.

Chief Financial Officer

Jewell Patterson

As CFO, Jewell provides strategic leadership over Storco’s business and finance functions, as well as the management of its financial and capital resources. She has oversight of critical business functions including payroll, financial reporting, accounts receivable and payable, project accounting, international operations and financial systems.


As a Chartered Accountant, Jewell has over 25 years of experience spanning commercial finance, project execution and auditing disciplines within the global mining sector and financial accounting services industries. She is a proven change leader driving efficiencies across business processes, propelling growth initiatives, and an eye for detail. Jewell is highly collaborative across all functions to support the Storco vision to have a transformative impact on its business through continual innovation in identifying and executing opportunities to extract value and efficiencies.

Senior Manufacturing Manager

Allan Oswald

Highly adaptive and enthusiastic, Allan has broad management experience in many industries, such as pet food processing, human foods, mining and construction. He has worked across a variety of roles, including business development, manufacturing excellence, project management, operations development, industrial performance, and electrical maintenance. This diverse experience makes Allan uniquely suited to managing Storco’s variety of manufacturing lines.

Allan is highly successful in business performance, with a focus on strategic planning for investment and product sourcing. He has an extensive track record in preparing, implementing, and managing projects, focusing on analysis of new manufacturing facilities, complexity evaluation and simplification, working closely with all functions of a global company.

Marketing Coordinator

Timothy Hanlon

Timothy has over ten years of experience in marketing and advertising on both the client and agency sides. His experience covers strategy development, media production, eCommerce, and CRM operations.

Tim enjoys working with others to develop creative solutions that help drive outcomes across the entire team. He has a Master of Communications and technical proficiency with a range of software programs including the Adobe Creative Suite and Solidworks Visualise.

Site Manager

Ross Scarlett

Ross has over three decades of experience in the manufacturing industry, from being hands-on on the factory floor to managing his own teams and running small businesses. In addition to a broad understanding of the practical aspects of manufacturing and construction, Ross also has extensive experience in project management across the commercial and health sectors, which provides him with the expertise needed to handle a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver projects within difficult time and budget constraints.

Ross brings a strong working knowledge of New Zealand’s regulatory environment, particularly around work site health and safety.

Junior Estimator

Sarath Yegireddy

Sarath brings extensive analytics experience and attention to detail to the estimation team. His capability with data analysis and business improvement, along with a Masters in Information Technology, means he is able to assess project costings with a critical eye. In addition, Sarath’s adaptability means he works well with the sales and wider estimation team to deliver projects reliably and effectively.

Project Coordinator

Rommel Quimming

Rommel is a qualified civil engineer whose work has taken him throughout Australia and South-East Asia. He has worked on a diverse range of civil and commercial projects, including self storage and specialist constructions such as lightning protection engineering. In every case he applies keen analytical thinking and strong first-principals foundations to ensure projects are completed successfully to specifications.

In addition, Rommel has also worked with roller door installation crews, giving him practical insights which he uses to align project goals on the construction team.

Business Development Manager

Matthew Prosser

Matthew is a business development professional with over 20 years experience in the construction sector. He has a proven track record in managing existing accounts whilst developing new business opportunities with his clients.

From working with tier 1 construction companies, to mum and dad businesses, Matt has developed a strong business acumen combined with an ability to understand his clients’ key market and economic drivers,

Accounts Officer

Debbie Higham

Debbie brings great worth of knowledge and experience to the Storco team with qualifications in business management and credit management. As Storco’s Accounts Officer, she manages the complexities of manufacturing finance.

Throughout her working career she has performed in the construction, education, farming and timber industries, and has also taken part in the non-for-profit sector in head office for her church.

Project Coordinator

Denby Layton

The third generation of Laytons to work at Storco, Denby has already proven himself on projects covering Australia and New Zealand. His breadth of manufacturing experience and product knowledge makes him an asset to the Construction team and his collaborative and resourceful skillset make him valuable to the wider Storco team.

Senior Mechanical Draftsperson

George Asarloglou

George is an experienced drafting manager with a demonstrated history of working in the construction sector for two decades. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our team from working in both mechanical-based engineering office environments and the mining industry. George also oversees the operation of Storco’s automated panel bender and turret punch, in addition to his professional qualifications in Mining Engineering and Detailed Drafting.

With skills and experience in drawing governance and AUS/NZ standards, he brings a technical approach to all of his projects. George has a strong focus on safety and is passionate about working collaboratively with his team in order to achieve common goals.

Senior Estimator

Francis Manzano

A highly motivated and results driven professional with 20 year experience in estimating, quantity surveying, cost engineering and project construction. Francis provides our team with exceptional qualifications and a highly developed skill set. His professional experience has takes him from residential towers in Saudi Arabia, project management in Philippines, and project estimating in Dubbo.

Francis’ extensive professional qualifications include civil engineering, building and construction management, and project management. In addition, he is a chartered engineer (CPEngr), a registered engineer (RPEQ), and recognised by the Australian National Engineering Register (NER).

Project Manager

Michael Smerdon

Michael brings 38 years of invaluable experience to our team, gained from working within the construction and building fitout sectors. His expertise lies in delivering self storage and residential storage projects, both from small to large complex builds. He has extensive skills in change management and stakeholder management, with a focus on building effective teams, collaboration, agility and value add for our customers.

Business Analyst

Sam Chesson

A keen analytical mind and infectious enthusiasm makes Sam an invaluable part of Storco’s Commercial team. Her three decades of professional experience covers accounting, project management, financial control, and business analysis for a range of industries including agriculture, viticulture, investment banking, and education.

Sam’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics, Master of Business Administration, and Juris Doctor.

Business Development Manager

Jed Thrush

A young, dedicated, and passionate professional, Jed brings a diverse skillset to his role in Storco’s business development team. He has a strong understanding of the manufacturing and self storage industries, which he uses to develop projects that are uniquely suited to the needs of Storco’s clients.

He is definitely not three children standing on each other’s shoulders in a trenchcoat.

Logistics Coordinator

Vignesh Babu Lakshmanaswamy

Logistics is the tether that keeps Storco’s manufacturing and construction teams linked and Vignesh is perfectly suited to keeping it taut. His years of experience as Amazon’s outbound workflow management team leader means Vignesh is easily capable of keeping Storco’s daily dispatch needs met.

A Masters in Supply Chain and Logistics, experience in implementing a 5S project across a multi-storey fulfilment centre, and experience in supply chain software development means Vignesh has the experience and mindset to ensure Storco’s logistics team is ready to scale and expand well into the future.

Purchasing Officer

Rebecca Mitchell

With vast experience in the wholesale, retail and construction industry, Rebecca brings invaluable experience to Storco as the Purchasing Officer. Driven by her passion for success, she takes pride in providing the best experience through dealing with her as a client or colleague. She has covered multiple roles throughout her working career where most recently she was the Inventory Manager at Mitre 10.

Site Manager

Mark Stokes

Building is in Mark’s blood. During his long career in building, Mark has worked across a wide range of residential and commercial projects, from mid-range residential developments in regional NSW to high-end mansions in exclusive Sydney suburbs.

As a building supervisor, he is familiar with keeping large teams of diverse trades working efficiently towards a common goal. In addition to his decades of on-site experience, Mark is also a qualified builder himself with Master Builders Association NSW.

Research & Development Coordinator

Jacob Layton

A veteran in sales, construction, and industrial design, Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to Storco. A boilermaker by trade, Jacob has a varied background covering wholesale automotive sales, shed building, and design. He has cross-functional experience in Storco as well, having spent time both on Storco’s business development team, and has worked with Storco’s building partners to erect self storage products.

Maintenance Coordinator

Peter O’Leary

Experienced factory team leader with a demonstrated history of working in the self storage manufacturing industry. Peter was with Storco for three years as a factory labourer before progressing to factory supervisor. After five years as a supervisor, his ability has again been recognised with a move to his latest role as factory move coordinator.

Peter has gained an invaluable skillset throughout his years of manufacturing and coordination of complex projects. He has a passion for manufacturing excellence through people leadership, process understanding, a personal core value of safety and a desire to succeed, which is reflected in the successful delivery of our customers projects.

Construction Manager

Cédric Bézamat

Cédric’s skills, experience, and adaptability make him uniquely suited to leading Storco’s construction team. His experience across a variety of national and international projects has given him invaluable experience in project delivery, problem-solving, and budgeting.

Cédric has a deep understanding of construction management stemming from his years of experience and qualifications in civil engineering and public works. This allows him to ensure Storco’s clients can rely on him to see their projects delivered on-time and to the highest standards. He also proactively shares his experience and expertise with the construction team.
